Community Focused. Community Supported.
Emanuel Medical Center is a not-for-profit, community-based hospital owned and operated by the Evangelical Covenant Church and strongly adheres to a mission based on Christian values. That mission started in 1917 when two local doctors and two ministers saw the need to create a hospital for a growing community of friends.
Over the years, Emanuel has grown to a comprehensive medical campus. Emergency services, a critical care unit, pediatrics, medical and surgical services and a separate birthing center brings Emanuel’s total acute care bed count to 221.
In addition, our medical campus includes a 145-bed skilled nursing facility, a 49-bed assisted living facility, home health and hospice services, a surgery center, a rehabilitation center and a cardiac rehabilitation center.
Emanuel recently opened in 2007 a new Critical Care Center that includes a state of the art Emergency Department, a new Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Unit, and private patient rooms for expanded medical services. Also in 2007 the new Stanford Emanuel Radiation Oncology Center opened in the Emanuel Medical Plaza. This new 45,000 square foot, two-story building is also home to the medical oncology services of California Oncology of Turlock, the general surgeons of Oasis Surgical and will soon be the new home for the Ruby E. Bergman Women's Center.
Emanuel has certainly grown since our humble beginnings in 1917. What hasn’t changed is the commitment of our physicians, employees and volunteers to providing family centered care to the community.
Turlock, CA
Turlock is a great community located in the center of California. We're a growing community with a long-standing tradition of civic cooperation and support. While Turlock still maintains its rural charm, it's also home to a campus of the California State University, and offers the cultural and commercial ammenities of a much larger city.
