Mary Stuart Rogers Birthing Center
Since 1917, more than 50,000 babies have been delivered at Emanuel Medical Center.
Our Mary Stuart Rogers Birthing Center provides our expectant families with a beautiful home-like atmosphere while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. Our well-equipped, highly trained staff is dedicated to the well-being of each family.
The 3.5 million-dollar center includes eight state-of-the-art labor-delivery-recovery (LDR) rooms, contained in 5,116 feet of space.
One of the many features of the LDRs is the discreet locale of the medical equipment, instrumentation and gases, emergency electrical and controls—all of which are strategically located behind decorative headwall cabinets. The birthing center also features the latest high-tech birthing beds and complimenting patient room furniture, including an extra bed so a support person can stay with mom during and after the baby’s birth.
Refurbishment is underway for Emanuel’s existing 6,000 square feet of postpartum rooms for mother and baby.
The addition of the birthing center to Emanuel Medical Center’s campus was made possible by the generous support of the community we serve. This faithful support enables us to meet our community’s changing needs.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Our birthing center features a Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that allows low birth-weight babies or babies born with certain medical complications to be cared for at Emanuel Medical Center.
