New Family Practice Physician Opens Turlock Office - Dr. Noel Zomalan

Turlock - Noel Zomalan, MD, once volunteered at medical clinics in the Turlock area and now has opened his own  family practice office in Turlock near Emanuel Medical Center.  

From 2001-04, Dr. Zomalan was a volunteer physician at the Turlock Medical Clinic and the Hughson Family Medicine Office Center. He hopes to find time in his practice to continue offering medical care to those who can’t afford to pay.  

“I want to extend my practice to see as many patients as I can and to serve the community,” he says. “I also hope to get in touch with some adult day care centers here and if some people there need a physician, I’m happy to help them.”  

With the exception of obstetrical services, Dr. Zomalan is providing traditional family medicine for people of all ages. He also is on the medical staff at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.  

In 2004, Dr. Zomalan was accepted into the residency program at University of Southern California. In 2006, he was an urgent care physician for First Care Medical Group in Saugus, Calif., and from 2006-07 worked at the Hollywood and Whittier clinics in Southern California. He graduated from the USC Medical School, Department of Family Medicine, in 2007. 

Dr. Zomalan speaks Turkish, Farsi and Assyrian in addition to English.  In 2000, he was honored as one of the top three medical school graduates of Urmia University of Medical Sciences in Urmia, Iran.   

Dr. Zomalan is married to Flora Chamaki. They have two boys aged three and eight.
