Turlock—Volunteers are an intricate part of Hospice care.  Hospice of Emanuel is currently seeking individuals desiring to assist terminally ill patients and their families by providing emotional support, respite care, bereavement support and assisting in the Hospice office.  Translators are currently needed who speak Assyrian, Portuguese or Spanish to assist our Hospice staff to better communicate with our patients and their families. 

Hospice of Emanuel has scheduled a Volunteer Training Session in English and Spanish on Friday, October 19^th from 5:00-9:00 p.m. and on Saturday October 20^th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Conference Room C in the East Wing of Emanuel Medical Center. All new Volunteers must attend both sessions.  There is a $25 fee.  Preregistration is required. Scholarships are available upon request.           

Hospice volunteers of all ethnic backgrounds are needed to become part of our Hospice team. Continuing Education Credit is available for health profession students.
