2006 Hospice of Emanuel Support Groups

August 21, 2006

Turlock - During 2006 Hospice of Emanuel will continue to offer the community a variety of support groups, services and care for individuals and families impacted by the loss of a loved one or person in the last stages of an incurable disease.

All Hospice Support Groups have a $15.00 fee and pre-registration is required for all programs except the Bereavement Parent Support Group.  Please call Hospice of Emanuel at (209) 664-2550 for further information.

Fall Groups include the following:

Loss of Spouse:
For widows and widowers who have lost their spouse.
Meets 1st & 3rd Mondays; 7:00PM - 9:00PM    
Begins: September 18th
Emanuel Medical Center-East Wing-Conference Rooms D & E
Facilitators: Dianne Garzelli Tate, Beverly Moeller & Rennette Bronken

Scrapbook of Memories for Grievers:
For adults who want to make a Memory Book of their loved one.
Saturday September 9th
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
First United Methodist Church - 1600 Arbor Way, Asbury Hall, Turlock
Class is limited to 24 participants.
Facilitators: Carlene Smith & Marcia Mankin

"CARES" Children's Grief Art Workshop:
For children who have lost a grandparent or parent.
October 7th & 21st , November 4th & 11th
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Facilitators: Linda Keith and Marcia Mankin

FOR WOMEN - "When Mourning Turns to Dancing":
For women who have had one-on-one support and need to have support from other women.          
Meets Mondays (8 week sessions)
Begins Monday, October 2nd
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Facilitators: Bridget Keller and Annie Warner

Coping with the Holidays:
Wednesday, November 8th 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Volunteer Training:
English and Spanish

Saturday, October 28th - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Hospice of Emanuel is a team of professionals and volunteers who address the social, spiritual, and emotional needs of terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice of Emanuel's service areas includes Turlock, Hilmar, Stevinson, Newman, Crows Landing, Patterson, Cressey, Ballico, Delhi, Denair, Keyes, Hughson, Ceres, Hickman and Waterford.
