Turlock, Susan Le, MD is an energetic young woman who recently joined the Turlock medical community.  Her focus is primary medical care - diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, child well care and gynecological issues - with an emphasis on women's health and geriatrics.

She chose to be a family physician because of the challenges and the close relationship with her patients it offers. "Family medicine requires a broad knowledge of information on infants, adults and geriatrics," Dr. Le says. "At the same time, it gives me the opportunity to know my patients as individuals and as a family." 

Dr. Le, raised in San Jose, completed her undergraduate education at UC Davis with a major in biochemistry and medical training at Ross University in New York in 2002. She did her family medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where she received numerous honors including Outstanding Resident Award for leadership and Sister Marie de Pazzi for humanitarian work. 

After residency, Dr. Le worked for Kaiser Permanente in Modesto until recently. She says she is starting her practice in Turlock "in order to provide quality healthcare to an underserved area." New patients are being accepted.

Dr. Le lives with her husband and their ten-month-old twin daughters.
