Turlock-Volunteers are an intricate part of Hospice care.  Hospice of Emanuel is currently seeking individuals desiring to assist terminally ill patients and their families by providing emotional support, respite care, translating, facilitating grief support groups, bereavement follow-up and working in the Hospice office as office assistants.  Hospice volunteers of all ethnic backgrounds are needed.    

Hospice of Emanuel has scheduled a Volunteer Training Session in English and Spanish on Saturday, March 1^st from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday March 15^th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Conference Room C in the East Wing of Emanuel Medical Center. All new Volunteers must attend both sessions to complete the training.  There is a $25 donation requested.  Preregistration is required and Continuing Education Credit is available for people in the medical field.
