New Volunteer Training starts for Hospice of Emanuel

Turlock-Volunteers are an intricate part of Hospice care.  Hospice of Emanuel is currently seeking individuals desiring to assist terminally ill patients and their families by providing emotional support, respite care, translating, facilitating grief support groups, bereavement follow-up and working in the Hospice office as office assistants.  Hospice volunteers of all ethnic backgrounds are needed.    

Hospice of Emanuel has scheduled a Volunteer Training Session in English and Spanish on Saturday, March 1st from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday March 15th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Conference Room C in the East Wing of Emanuel Medical Center. All new Volunteers must attend both sessions to complete the training.  There is a $25 donation requested.  Preregistration is required and Continuing Education Credit is available for people in the medical field.

Hospice of Emanuel is a team of professionals and volunteers who address the social, spiritual and emotional needs of the terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice of Emanuel service areas includes Ballico, Ceres, Cressey, Crows Landing, Delhi, Denair, Hickman, Hilmar, Hughson, Keyes, Livingston,  Newman, Patterson, Stevinson, Turlock, Waterford and Winton.
