Women's Health Services

Emanuel Medical Center has taken a lead role in promoting women's health in our community.

Imaging Services for Women

The new center is on the second floor of the Emanuel Medical Plaza in a beautiful 6,000 square foot clinic space and provides patients with the latest in digital mammography with the lowest patient dose of radiation of any currently available mammographic unit.

This summer the Emanuel center will also provide the region with the first dedicated breast MRI technology, the Aurora 1.5T system.  The new breast MRI system is ideal for claustrophobic patients since the patients head remains outside of the scanner.

Digital mammography systems have demonstrated improved detection rates in women with dense breasts and women under the age of 50. These new systems at the Ruby E. Bergman Women’s Center also give physicians on the Emanuel medical staff the ability to remotely view mammographic and ultrasound images through the hospital’s Picture Archiving and Communication System or PACS.

The center can also provide patients with pre-operative wire localizations, digital high resolution targeted breast ultrasounds, core and vacuum assisted breast and stereotactic biopsies.

The Emanuel Medical Plaza is also home to Emanuel’s Regional Cancer Services, Stanford Emanuel Radiation Oncology Center, California Oncology of Turlock and Oasis Surgical.  osmos gallery image
