Emanuel Medical Center Float Takes Home Top Prize at Christmas Parade

Dec 13, 2019

Hundreds flocked to Turlock on Friday, Dec. 6, 2019, for the 41st annual Downtown Christmas Parade. This year’s theme was “Christmas at the Arcade.”

2019-Emanuel-Float-300x300Emanuel Medical Center’s Star Wars themed float won Best Commercial Entry and Best Overall Use of Lights at the parade. Emanuel team members dressed in Star Wars characters and handed out lightsabers and candy to the crowd.

Other float winners included:

  • Best Antique Vehicle – Major Pulling – Croft Family
  • Best Themed Entry – Denair Unified School District
  • Best Youth Group Entry – Wakefield Elementary Wildcats

The parade was made possible by the City of Turlock’s Recreation Department, Turlock Firefighters Local 2434, Turlock Chamber of Commerce and the Turlock Downtown Property Owners Association.
