We are so excited to bring you this same experience online! Lately, we've been thinking a lot about what a hospital is- and what it CAN be. At its fundamental level, we know a hospital is a medical facility. But Emanuel Medical is more than a medical facility, we are a community resource that tries to help people live better, healthier lives. We invite you in to be part of our nearly 100 year tradition. Take a look around, and see how we promote health and wellness while providing you the health care you expect and deserve.

Women's Cancer Awareness Night Out

Aug 31, 2015

Good Morning America’s Amy Robach Headlines Women’s Cancer Awareness Night Out

Robach AmyTurlock, CA— Amy Robach, Good Morning America news anchor, will headline Emanuel Cancer Center’s annual Women’s Cancer Awareness Night Out, coming October 16.

Robach was diagnosed with breast cancer after getting a mammogram in New York City’s Times Square for a segment on Good Morning America. At 40 and with no cancer history in her family, Robach thought she was years away from needing to begin regular breast-cancer screenings, but got the test anyway at the urging of friend and Good Morning America colleague Robin Roberts, herself a cancer survivor.

Robach will share her story at Emanuel’s Women’s Cancer Awareness Night Out, to be held at Monte Vista Chapel in Turlock. Tickets are free, but must be reserved in advance, beginning September 16 at 6 a.m. To reserve tickets – limited to two per person – call toll free to (888) 545-6979, or order online at https://www.emanuelmedicalcenter.org/services/oncology. Tickets for the annual event are usually at capacity quickly, so early reservations are highly recommended.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. on event day. Cancer survivors are invited to gather at 6:45 p.m. for the always-inspiring survivors’ procession at 7 p.m. that opens the program. After Robach’s speech, there will be a dessert reception at 8:30 p.m. held at Monte Vista Chapel, 1619 East Monte Vista Ave.
