Celebrate Cancer Survivorship May 27

May 11, 2015
Turlock, CA— Cancer survivors are invited to celebrate National Cancer Survivors’ Day with a free ice cream sundae at the Emanuel Cancer Center on May 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“National Cancer Survivors’ Day is a great event that grows every year as more people than ever are surviving this disease,” said Michael Iltis, executive director of Emanuel Cancer Center. “As a result of advances in prevention, early detection and treatment, there are now nearly 14 million Americans living with a history of cancer, and this is a special day to celebrate that.”

“If cancer has touched your life, we want you to celebrate survivorship with us,” Iltis said. “We’ll have live music, prizes, and of course the ice cream – including sugar-free ice cream – being served by the great physicians who practice at Emanuel Cancer Center.” The event is free to any cancer survivor and their guest.  Attendees are asked to RSVP by May 25 by phoning (209) 250-5355, or responding online at www.emanuelRSVP.org.

Emanuel Cancer Center is located at 880 E. Tuolumne Road.
