Emanuel Medical Center Nationally Recognized for Patient Safety

Turlock, Calif. – Emanuel Medical Center was awarded an “A” from The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2021 Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing the hospital’s achievements protecting patients from harm and providing safe healthcare for Turlock and surrounding communities.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is designed to give consumers information they can use to make healthcare decisions for themselves or a loved one. The Safety Grade assigns an A, B, C, D or F grade to general hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections.

Developed under the guidance of a national expert panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses more than 30 performance measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to U.S. acute-care hospitals twice per year. The grades are peer-reviewed, fully transparent and the results are free to the public.
