Taking Care of Mothers and Newborns

Emanuel's Mary Stuart Rogers Birthing Center provides complete mother and newborn care. Benefits of delivering at Emanuel Medical Center include:

Our Amenities

The Mary Stuart Rogers Birthing Center has eight specially designed labor-delivery-recovery rooms. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated — giving them a warm, home-like atmosphere — and also include the advanced medical equipment you might need. In addition to high-tech birthing beds that make delivery safe and comfortable, we also provide a secondary bed so that a loved one can stay.

Birthing Education

To help you prepare for childbirth, Emanuel offers free childbirth education classes in both English and Spanish which include a tour of our birthing center. Please call (209) 664-2580 for further information about our classes. Pre-registration is required.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

If your delivery doesn’t go exactly as planned, we have a Level II onsite NICU for newborns. Our NICU can take premature babies and babies with complications soon after delivery. Because it’s onsite, your baby will not need to be transferred to another hospital for extra care.
